Listening to Barton Hill’s communities: finding hope in making liveable neighbourhoods together
Over the past few months, the Greengage Project has been out in Barton Hill speaking with many residents. They wanted to hear how the East Bristol Liveable Neighbourhood (EBLN) trial is affecting everyday life, and what people think needs to change for future Liveable Neighbourhoods to truly work for local people.
Now it’s time to share back what you generously shared with us.
Come and experience an immersive sound installation made from voices and stories recorded at the Conversation Stations across Barton Hill.
These recordings have been carefully co-curated with sound artist Nik Rawlings, bringing together different perspectives on the trial scheme and life in the neighbourhood.
At the heart of this event is listening:
not to agree, but to hear;
not to defend, but to understand;
not to finalise, but to begin.
No booking is needed, come along to the Terrace Room at the Settlement Site, to share drinks and nibbles, and experience the sound installation on Tuesday December 9th, from 4.30 to 5.30pm, or 5.30 to 6.30pm.
The installation will also be at the Watershed on December 6th and 7th, get your free ticket here.
Please note: This event is organised by an external provider and is subject to change without Wellspring Settlement’s knowledge.
