A welcoming space for all parents and carers
Whether you are a mum, dad, grandparent, foster carer, teen parent or supporting children in another way, you are welcome.
The group brings together people from different backgrounds, cultures and communities. all you need to bring is a willingness to take part, share what feels comfortable and try out new ideas.
What we’ll explore together
Over the 13 weeks, you’ll look at practical ways to:
- build stronger relationships with your children
- communicate more positively as a family
- set boundaries with confidence
- understand your child’s behaviour and development
- support your child’s self-esteem and confidence
- reflect on your own parenting experiences
- connect with local support and community services
The programme also recognises the pressures many families face, including money worries, housing, education, health, discrimination, safety, and everyday stress. It offers a supportive space to think about these challenges and what can help.
Why join?
Parents who take part often value the chance to meet others, share experiences and realise they are not alone. The programme is about building on your strengths, finding strategies that work for your family, and helping children grow up feeling confident, respected and supported.
Free to attend
The course is free. Refreshments and childcare are provided, and everyone who completes the programme receives a certificate..

“Lovely people and well presented, the course had interesting ideas, most importantly it put ideas together to make a complete picture, this differed from the patchwork of ideas I was using before.”
